I had a booth at Comic Con this year and had a great time. My booth was in a good location, directly across from Last Gasp one of the largest publishers of underground art books... so the association was great and everyone in our isle got along great. I shared a booth with a good friend of mine, Mary Fleener... an underground comix illustrator and fine artist who has been in the mix for years. Thx to all who came out to support and say hi.

Fleener and I just after we set up our booth.

My booth... I had prints, dog tag necklaces, books, T-shirts, stickers, ipod skinz... most of this will be available online soon.

My pops, Jim Saw, came by and hung for a bit.

Mat Groening dropped by my booth on the day the Simpsons movie came out... he's friends with Fleener and i gotta tell ya, he's one genuinely nice guy.

Last Gasp crew, Nancy, Colin & Ron Turner.

The always vibrant Anthony Ausgang came by for a bit.

Mitch O Connell was signing at Last Gasp. Super nice dude.

Mark Ryden signed at Last Gasp... he brought quite a crowd. This is the view from my booth. Mike from Wootini is getting something signed in this pic. Mark is a nice guy and an amazing artist. He always asks about my pops cuz he was one of his jr. college art teachers.

Last Gasper modeling one of my new shirts. side note: This was the first time I have sold T-shirts and it was great to see people wearing them around the con... you can def count on me getting more into apparel in the future.

Couple cuties that bought dog tag necklaces to match their pjs :)

Just your friendly neighborhood sword swallower! yet another bonus to being next to Last Gasp - no other booth does anything like this! I have some vids of it... but i will spare you the gag reflex.

Optimus Prime!!!

Custom Vader paintings! these were great.

Who woulda thought?

My fave - by Mars.

If you have never been to comic con - it really is quite a sight... about 30% of the attendees are in costume... its really worth going for the crowd alone.
I had a great time and will certainly do it next year again. I plan on exhibiting at APE and maybe a couple others over the next year too. So hopefully I will see ya out and about. &
thx for reading!
cheers.
