Making Of a Painting // Hole Hearted - DAY 4 January 2007

DAY FOUR (Jan 8, 2007)

Had a long day... worked doing freelance graphic design till 6 pm. Had dinner, spent a lil time with my son... then rode my bike to the gym. Didn't start painting till 10 pm and i was already exhausted... worked till 3 AM. Didn't get as much done as i wanted, but here it is.

Still using the #1 filbert brush i continue to darken edges and define form.

Last pass with the darker color using the filbert - which means its all smaller brushes from here out. So here im pushing the form a bit more and beginning to paint the area around the veins.

Now I use a finer brush to define and clean up edges.

Here's the big picture as of now... Still have another 5 or so hours on the heart before i can move on. Its taking me longer than i thought... but its starting to look like it did in my head the day i had the initial spark. I'm physically and emotionally drained... but somehow plan on finding the energy to tap into this thing again tonight.
